Earth Security is building a global pipeline of investible businesses that deliver positive impacts to mangrove ecosystems. This will help local communities to develop in balance with their environment to deliver on the potential of nature-based solutions.
The development of this pipeline is an evolution of our M40 programme, which demonstrated that 70% of the world’s mangroves are concentrated in just 40 regions of the world.
With support from the UBS Optimus Foundation, the M40 Programme is building the M40 Fund based on robust analytics and impact frameworks, proven models of what works, and a unique understanding of the capital stack for how to deploy a blend of private, public and philanthropic capital to catalyse nature-based coastal economies.
