Maya Barol is an Associate at Earth Security. Based in Manila, Maya is our in-country coordinator for our programme in the Philippines, building public-private partnerships to scale up engagement and investment in nature-based solutions. She has 12-years of experience in managing projects across in the development, humanitarian, private, and government sectors.
Before joining Earth Security, she managed the Makati Business Club’s (MBC) Programs and Projects involving Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction. Maya also previously worked with the Department of Agriculture as the Project Development Officer and Climate Change Coordinator of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Project, a national campaign for food security and poverty alleviation in the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Philippines.
Maya has studied for an M.A. in Communications from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and holds a B.A. in Communications from Notre Dame College, Kidapawan City.
